This is a blend of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Merlot, 7% Petit Verdot, 6% Cabernet Franc and 1% Malbec from Napa. Of course, this is still vey young but it shows great potential. Purple in color with slight ruby hues, mostly opaque and bright. The nose is more open than expected with cassis, slight cedar, black cherries, char and spice. Full bodied. Medium plus tnnins. Great energy and acidity. On the palate, this has depth and complexity but as the nose, this is also surprisingly open at age 5. Flavors of Cassis, Black cherries, dust, dark chocolate and char. Long finish. It should still improve with good cellaring but doesn't seem like it will shut down. Drink over the next twenty years. Great on its own, this should be food friendly and went very well with Lasagna.
