This is a soft agreeable, easy drinking wine, for those who like Cabernet, but don’t want the austerity of traditional Napa Cabernet. This Sonoma offering provides wonderful fruit, very amenable tannins and mild acidity, something easy to drink before, during or after dinner. This is La Crema’s first offering of Cabernet and you will find notes of blueberry, blackberry, black, cherry, and light raspberry, along with subtle cocoa powder, wildflowers and sweet vanilla. The addition of a little Merlot, and pulling fruit from both mountain and valley floor vineyards in Sonoma allow for a more comprehensive expression. The wine spent 15 months in barrel with less than 20% of those barrels being new oak, therefore the fruit shines. If you’re looking for a lovely Cabernet that won’t break the bank, and gives you value for its price tag look no further. ORIGIN: Sonoma. ALCOHOL: 14.5%
