Scheurebe is a Riseling cross developed in 1916 in Germany.  This wine is 12% abv.  Light green/silver/hay in color, clear and bright.  The nose is nice with a bit of peach and some minerality.  Medium bodied.  Low acidity.  On the palate, this is easy drinking yet satisfying.  A bit of peach.  Like a cooler on a hot summer day.  It is nice  on its own but better with some food.  It would work well with a Vegetable Soup for a lunch or light dinner.  Drink over the next year or two.

This was quite good.  It is different than the Italian versions especially in taste and texture.  Light green/gold in color, clear and bright.  The nose is nice with lemon creme, sea air, minerality and slight tropical fruits.  Medium bodied.  Creamy texture that is almost seamless.  Good acidity.  On the palate, tropical fruits and minerality with some lemon-lime notes on the finish.  This is delicious on its own and will work with lighter foods.  It went well with Korean BBQ Tofu.  Drink over the next five years.  Screwcapped.

2012 Zind-Humbrecht Riesling Herrenweg de Turckheim, France, Alsace, Wine Review

This is getting a bit old in the tooth but still had something to offer.  Golden in color, clear and bright.  The nose is clean (no diesel) with slight grapefruit.  Medium bodied.  On the palate, very slight oxidation with some peach notes.  A bit bitter on the finish.  These are past prime if this bottle was representative but just a bit and should be consumed sooner than later.  It is very food friendly and worked nicely with Nachos.
