This is a finely balanced and comprehensive wine for its price tag. It offers notes of black cherry, boysenberry, plum, red current, Alpine wildflowers, and leather hide. Comprised of Aragonez, Syrah, Touriga Nacional and Trincaderia, what works is the seamless blending of these grapes from a variety of regions that are expertly paired with each other. The sweet vanilla and light barrel char also come through, in part to the wine being aged eight months in barrel. The acidity is spot on and the wine is a pleasure to drink and begs for a variety of foods. To be sure, this is a flavorful wine and with a price that belies its quality, you should stock up on this hidden gem. ORIGIN: Portugal. ALCOHOL: 13.5%
