100% whole cluster. This is a cooler climate Syrah, still showing California sunshine, but a more deep notes and less exuberance than many from Napa or Paso Robles. Purple in color, opaque and bright. The nose is nice with boysenberries, char, black olives, white pepper and some spice. Medium to full bodied. On the palate, this has a nice texture. Medium tannins. Good acidity. Flavors of black raspberries with some black pepper and char. Long finish. This is still very young and should improve with good cellaring. It drinks well on its own and will work well with Syrah friendly foods. A nice choice to go with a bit por of Chili on a cold day. Drink over the next eight to twelve years.
