60% Grenache and 40% Cinsault from the south of France (carrying a Vin de France designation). Pale pink/gold in color, clear and bright. The nose has orange rind and slight strawberries. Nice texture, slightly creamy. On the palate, orange citrus. Medium bodied. Good acidity. Nice, long finish. A nice value in a Rosé. This should be very food friendly and a bit better with food. A nice with with a Niçoise Salad. Drink over the next year.

Gigondas is a great place to find nice value in Rhone wines. Montmirail is a good choice for producers in Gigondas. This is a blend of 75% Grenache, 20% Syrah, and 5% Mourvèdre. Purple in color, mostly opaque and bright. The nose has black cherries, black raspberries, black pepper, and some earthiness. Medium to full bodied. On the palate, the black cherry fruit dominates over an earthy/forest floor base. Nice balance. Mild tannins. Good finish. This is drinking well but may still get a bit better over the next five to seven years. It will drink well for ten to twelve more years

It really is amazing how Rosé's have really stepped up their game over the last ten to twenty years. And, the buying public has noticed all over the world. This is a blend of 75% Grenache, 15% Cinsault and 10% Syrah. Pale silvery/salmon pink in color. Clear and bright. The nose has cherries, slight strawberries and slight tarragon. I don't know where you live, but here on the shores of Lake Erie, its been a wet, cool spring. That might be good for the grapevines, but its put a bit of a damper on drinking outside. This is a Rose from southern France. It is a blend of 60% Grenach, 20% Syrah, 10% Cinsault, and 10% Tibouren. Perhaps more than most springs, I am looking forward to staying home and sipping on some Rose as the weather gets nice/warmer. This is light salmon pink/orange in color. Very pale but bright and clear. It has a much bigger nose with nice strawberries, some hay and slight watermelon. On the palate, it has an interesting texture. A bit oily but also creamy. Excellent Rose from the south of France. A blend of mostly Grenache, Cinsault and Vermentino grapes. Pale salmon pink with a touch of orange in color, clear and bright. The nose is lovely with strawberries, watermelons and a touch of salinity. Light bodied with no tannins. Crisp and delicious. On the palate, nice strawberry notes turning to watermelon on the lingering finish. There is a nice depth and complexity not often found in Roses. This is great on its own and would work well with all but the biggest beef dishes. Try with roasted chicken.
