3025 bottles produced. Really cool bottle shape that allows it to lie on its side with the top of the bottle about six inches above the table (or it can stand upright). I was told this is a very Burgundian Chardonnay but for my tastes this is a classic Sonoma Chardonnay. Light/medium gold in color, clear and bright. The nose is a bit subtle at first with vanilla, slight lumber but not a lot of fruit. As it opened up, it showed some lemon, slight lemon gream and a bit of salinity. Full bodied. Really rich texture. On the palate, vanilla with some lemon peel. Enough acidity to work with food, but this is rounder in style. Good finish. This drinks lovely on its own and worked nicely with cheeses and other appetizers. Drink over the next ten years. Add two points for the cool bottle!
