2021 Fairchild Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Stones No. 1 Perrarus Block 1, USA, California, Napa, Pritchard Hill, Wine Review

This is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Pritchard Hill in NApa.  Purple in color, opaque and bright.  The nose is great with cassis, graphite, baking spice and slight dark chocolate.  Full bodied.  Very firm tannins.  Great energy and balance.  On the palate, cassis, black raspberries, dark chocolate, char and spice.  There is some heat on the finish (14.5% listed abv) but that should settle down with some age.  This is very young and needs minimum five years of good cellaring or a two day decant but with age the score should go tow or three points higher.  It will go another twenty years at least. It is probably better on its own for now but will become more food friendly as it ages.
