This is 100% Nebbiolo from Bricco Voghera in Serralunga D'alba. This is exceptional. Ruby in color with orange hues and rim, clear and bright. The nose is concentrated and excellent. Aromas of cherries, slight black cherries, balsamic, herbal notes, spice and slight char. Medium to full bodied. Firm tannins. Great balance and acidity. On the palate, this is delicious. Flavors of cherries, slight sour cherries, a bit of anise/tar and spice. Long finish. This is good on its own but better with food. It would go well with slow cooked venison but also with Roasted Parmesan Stuffed Acorn Squash. It should still improve with good cellaring. Drink over the next ten to fifteen years.
