This is a Chardonnay from the Galilee area of northern Israel made from the best barrels. Light golden in color, clear and bright. The nose has lemons, slight melon, oak, spice, gunpowder and smoke. Full bodied. Light tannins. Nice texture. On the palate, the oak comes thru strongly at this point. Flavors of lemons, slight melon and spice, too. Good finish. For my tastes, this could use a few years to settle, but for those who like a bit of oak in their Chardonnay, this should be ready to drink. This will be better with food, but is nice on its own. A good match might be Tzimmes.
