2019 La Rioja Alta Rioja Viña Alberdi Reserva, Spain, Wine Review

This is 100% Tempranillo from Spain.  Ruby in color, clear and bright.  The nose has fresh cut lumber along with cherries, slight strawberries, sweat and spice.  Medium bodied.  Soft texture.  Light tannins.  On the palate, cherries, cinnamon, spice, and slight strawberries.  Moderate finish.  This is young and needs some time for the oak to integrate.  This was aged for two years in American oak barrels, the first new and the second four year old barrels and the new oak still shows.  Hold for a couple of years and the score should improve a couple points at least.  Better with food, this would be a nice wine to drink with Chilli.
