This was thrown in blind during a testing of Kosher wines from Israel.  It is neither but was included as a sort of base for comparison purposes.  This was my first time trying this bottle which was purchased locally for $30.  It is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot.  Purple in color, clear at the rim.  The nose is nice with cassis, black cherries, slight chocolate and spice.  Medium to full bodied.  Medium tannins.  Good balance.  On the palate, this is ripe.  Tasty.  Flavors of cassis, black cherries, dark chocolate, slight coffee bean, spice and char.  Good finish.  This is drinking well now and should drink well for the next ten to fifteen years.  For what its worth, this finished 3 out of 9 in a blind tasting of similarly priced wines only the other bottles were Kosher and from Israel.
