Medium gold in color clear and bright.  The nose has serious oak on it including baking spices, toast and vanilla but also has lemon cream and slight honey notes.  Full bodied.  Slightly oily texture.  On the palate, there is meyer lemons, spice and vanilla.  Long finish.  At age seven it seems clear that the oak will remain a featured quality in this wine.  Of course, for some that is great and others, a turn off.  This seems close to peak but should stay at this level for another six to ten years.  It is nice on its own but would be good with many foods.  This would be a nice match with a buttery cheesy Polenta.
