Ruby/Purple in color. The nose is dusty with boysenberries. This is easy drinking Syrah. Lots of black raspberry fruit. Not a lot of depth. Quite tasty with good fruit.

A blend of Syrah, Carignane and Grenache. I could find no vintage designation on the label (so its probably there in extra large font ;-) ) A very nice value wine. Purple in color. Black raspberries, pepper, cherries and plums. Also some spice. On the palate, this is medium bodied. Very tasty. Easy drinking. Some complexity as well. Good finish. Nice value but more than that.

Light salmon pink in color. The nose is nice with strawberries. On the palate, this is very refreshing. Lively strawberry fruit. Good texture. Fresh. Easy drinking but even a bit more.

I’m walking through a valley filled with wild herbs—rosemary, thyme, lavender and artemisia. Off in the distance, I can see a hill-side vineyard bursting with grapes and an ancient stone house. Next to the house, I notice people congregated near an old barn. I walk closer. When I arrive, a glass of wine is placed in my hand. I inhale and the aroma of the valley fills my senses. Then, I smile and take a sip. Deep, dark fruit quickly coats my palate. I look to the madame pouring the wine. “Welcome to the Languedoc,” she says. “We've been waiting for you.”

My first time that I recall trying the Chatus grape. It is very interesting. Not too dismilar from Cinsault. Ruby/purple in color. The nose has cherries, dust and cranberries. On the palate, this is deep with a nice complexity. Tart cranberries and some cherries on the palate. This really worked better with food. A fun wine and a very good wine as well.
