2013 Rivers-Marie Cabernet Sauvignon Corona Vineyard, USA, California, Napa, Oakville, Wine Review

Great showing for this wine.  Although still showing youtfully, it is starting to develop an initial maturity.  Purple in color, opaque and bright.  The nose is deep with cassis, cedar, slight graphite, slight blueberries and spice.  Full bodied.  Firm tannins.  Nice balance.  On the palate, this is deep.  It open in the glass to show nice complexity.  Flavors of cassis, blueberries, slight chocolate, spice and slight earthiness.  Great texture.  Long finish.  This is delicious.  It should still continue to mature but no harm  drinking it now.  Drink over the next twenty years.  Nice on its own or with some big, fatty foods such as a steak or Roasted Squash (stuffed with rice and cheese).
