Purple in color. The nose is great with black raspberries, black pepper, and some roasted meats. Very deep. On the palate, this is still young but drinking great. Black raspberry fruit with some roasted herbs and some spice. Great texture. Deep and tightly layered. Long finish. This will develop more complexity but if you like lush, delicious warm climate Syrah, this one is fine now.
These usually take at least five years and really ten to open up, but this is drinking very well right now, if a bit tight and young. It is delicious. Purple inc olor. The nose has boysenberries, slight black olive, black pepper and slightly roasted herbs. On the palate, this has medium tannins. This was surprisingly tight and after opening, it was recorked and consumed the following evening. Purple in color, opaque and bright. The nose is deep with black raspberries, milk chocolate, black pepper, slight violets and slight roasted herbs. Full bodied. Medium tannins. On the palate, this is drinking nicely but not a huge Syrah. Plenty of ripeness though. Flavors of black raspberries, milk chocolate, and spice. Slight char. Good finish. This drinks well on its own and would work well with spiced meats or fowl. Drink over the next five to eight years.
