And now for something completely different. The world is full of cabernet and pinot noir and when you need and/or want to find something different you should reach for this. Comprised of 61% grenache, 19% Mourvèdre, 15% syrah, and 5% carignan. Aged 16 months in barrel, 10% of which were new French oak barrels, it gives you what you want from mourvèdre and grenache, namely softer red fruits like cranberries, light strawberry, rhubarb, subtle black cherry, savory dried flowers, bay leaf, and herbs. The judicious use of oak compliments the fruit. This is the kind of wine that grows on you with each step you take, making itself more known, more expressive and more enjoyable. Different is good.
