Napa, Sonoma, Mendoza Argentina, most the NorCal regions.
It was average at best. Not worthy of an Oscar by any means.
MacPhail Pinot, Tandem Pinot, Susana Balbo Malbec, Carol Shelton Zinfandel
People who pretend to know wine by dropping names or by using elaborate tasting descriptions. It's Ok to just say "I like it".
1) Using elaborate tasting descriptions (ex: "A hint of vanilla and tobacco") around people who aren't equally versed. 2) "Name dropping" of producers. 3)Dismissing any wine due to price

MacPhail Pinot Noir, Tandem Pinot Noir, and many italian/french wines the names of which now escape me.

Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc, New Zealand. It is like $10 a bottle and just delicious. I do not usually favor whites but this I love. What a pleasure to find a good inexpensive wine.
