Tasting Notes

  • Notes:
This wine has a dark thick jammy look to it. The nose is fruity, vanilla, and scents of sugar. The taste is slightly sweet at the beginning, then oaky, and then warm on the tongue. Originally I was going to rate this wine lower on the scale because it didn't open up on my first tasting, but the next day I realized I hadn't given it a chance to show me what it's got. Apparently, it just needed to air out and loosen up because it was what I was hoping for in this wine. The sweet berry flavor and the vanilla came through. Delicious! If you buy this wine, let it breath for a few hours before drinking, it makes a world of difference.
