My Dad died in 2002 and left behind a few bottles of wine. One is a " 1983 Opus One, A Napa Valley Red Wine, Produced and Bottled by Robert Mondavi, Baron Phillipe de Rothschild. Oakville, CA." Another is a "limited edition, vintage 1966 Concannon Cabernet Sauvignon, bottled April 2 & 9, 1970....~roughly #7,800 out of ~12,500 bottled."
The bottles were stored on their side in my Dad's closet. I'm wondering what to do with them. Cork them and hope for the best? Put them up for auction? I love wine but do not have an educated palate.
Any advice?

I say to crack them open with some friends and raise a glass to your dad.
Cin Cin!
I checked online by searching for 1983 Opus One and saw prices from $220-$400. I do more research and consider auctioning if you're not dying to drink it yourself.
